Today, I headed straight for starbucks and I could smell christmas just about a hundred feet away from the door. :'D

Okay so I'm exaggerating but seriously, Toffeenut ALWAYS is the best sign that christmas is about here. Love it. 

Anyhow, this is what I've been up to in school. 

Can I just say I haven't enjoyed school this much in like, everrr ~

Maybe also, school hasn't felt this relevant the last year and a half. Nonetheless, I'm thankful that things are moving.

It's rest day from insanity today. (phewf)

I hope this spirit continues to last as the weeks progress.

On an encouraging note, I'm no longer aching horrendously.  #yay

I had stagecraft mod today and we...... constructed a hard frame from scratch!

Shiver

We uploaded the cover today finally!

Some background -- we recorded the track in about less than 2 hrs including the audio glitches (YIKES) that happened right after we exported the song :'D and so we took turns to film just 3 nights ago.

Here's my attempt at making the cover shot look like a film poster:

Can I just add a heads up that I'm super embarrassed at how my "alone" sounds in the track. Jean taught me some vocal control shizzle and I was focused on trying to get the technique right that my diction just went out of the window :' *arhhhhh*

Nonetheless, I'd like to think this was one of our best covers thus far heh. Speaking of which, J and I are gna be doing a slot at the Swap & Shop event this coming Christmas!

Our show is on the 23rd, 4pm - 6pm @ the Marine Parade Promenade.

How's it going guys!

It's a wednesday -yay- I love wednesdays. Wednesdays' my free day from school. 

And so, here's the deal; because I am such an amazing friend and I love J so much, I--- I gave her my word to complete insanity with her.  Yes, you read me right. Insanity. I can shiver at the sound of that word. (Our cover Shiver is coming up btw I'll be editing le video soon. #productplacement #kthxbai) 

I started with the fit test today and here are my thoughts in one word: puke.
Like literally, all I could think of was," I am so gonna puke. Now. Omg puke. Omg now. I can't. Puke."

Oh my goodness gracious peanut butter tom and jackers, I almost fainted. Then I became one with the floor and had to take a mandatory #afterworkoutphoto so here it is:

There. See, it wasn't so bad sam, you can still form an expression. 

Yeah, okay can. I'm just relieved day 1 is over and honestly, slightly nervous at the thought of aching muscles and more Shaun T screaming at me to push harder. 

I am such a good friend.

Update (last quarter year resolutions)

Hey folks,

SO. Here's what I've been up to lately. I've promised myself (and all the awesome people who believe in me) to get my act together these next few months leading up to the end of 2013 :'D

One of those things I've been shoving off, is getting the music thingies done with proper effort and consistency, so I'm trying to work on that. And well, I set up a page just so it's easier if anyone wants to join me on this journey hehe. (click here to get to the coolest page ever in cat domination history / oh and here too)

So things are picking up! A friend called me up to do a christmas event in Dec and well, I'll update once I get the details. You awesome person reading this, you have to come and join in the fun when it's all firmed up yes! Yay ~

Now, the other thing would be school -- which I admit I've been terrible at for most parts of my life. Can I just add in that as I type, I'm speaking to one of my best-est gifts of secondary school-- Hi lili my favourite butterfly! ~~~

But yes, this semester is packed with these crazy-assignment-heavy modules. I have a Production Theatre Practicum module which require us as an entire class to plan and carry out a full theatre production! That is both scary and exciting at the same time.. (like lili's plan to live in africa). And I have 20 pages of script waiting for me to memorize :'D

Well, I'm stoked nonetheless. It's gna be an awesome rest of the year, for you too whoever you are! Have a great week all, and look out for the next cover by J and I soon! (I super love this one -- We're in the process of filming it!)

Criday

Yes. Today's cry-day not friday.

It's been a long day and I can barely breathe now that I'm about done with the day. 

I was pretty upset, so I got myself a popsicle. Then a cake -- yes like an entire cake -- to myself. And just when I thought I'd prolly be too full from eating my soaky salty cake, I found myself at my favourite little korean food store, downing the whole bowl of ramen. 

Later on, my feet found its way to fish and co but my wallet refused, so I had no choice----- but to have an egg mayo sub. (second egg mayo sub for the day) Yeap, I stuff well when I don't feel so well. And yes I went on my own, don't unfriend me just because I went to binge on my own.

This is prolly why I can barely breathe, I had too much to eat. 

Anyhow, a sad day sure calls for a sad cover so ----

ps: craving for maggie mee now and really, my stomach's crying out

Taiwan (make up post)

How's yall doing folks,

I know.... like what happened to the Taiwan posts. If there was a grade for space updating consistency, I wouldn't score very well. Nonetheless, the past 3 months have treated me pretty well -- what with Taiwan, Perth and Korea in a straight go :'D I am very thankful.

There are too many photos so unless you follow me on instagram, (@seatheskies ; which is by far the most consistent space I've kept up with heh) you'd have thought I died somewhere in the oceans whilst traveling.

Good for me I have a bestfriend who loves to film and hence we've got these vlogs up! Jean is an amazing travel buddy, and I can't ask for more. The vlogs are my takes on colour grading as well (my secret dream since I can remember watching films tweehee).

// We met this coolster girl Serene on her flight to transit at Taiwan to fly in to Tokyo! Travelling all by herself to go attend a music festival and found out she's my senior we did the exact same course as I did wooo ~

so I finally got down to doing a decent video of an original a couple days back so here's the final product :)

Jean and I are leaving for our adventure in Taiwan tomorrow! We're gonna come back with more videos and I believe, our own stories to tell. It's been a pretty crazy time the last 3 months and we're both heading there with a confident expectation of good things to come out of this trip. 

I'm really thankful for everyone who's been praying for us and with us throughout this time and for those who've not stopped believing in us and all that we've been graced to do. And really, I guess that's what this song is about... Realising that despite our endless failures, He laid Himself down and made that the only valid argument. 

Growing up, it has been in my nature to fight in a posture of defensiveness/ rebellion, and I've been to insane places just because of hurt and anger and the hope to save my pride. But if there's just one thing I've learnt, it'd be that because He did what He did, I can fight with "my hands lifted high and arms open wide" today. 

My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

note to self: No more fist for fist and hurt for hurt, I'm retaliating with a heart of worship.
